NEW EVENT DATE ANNOUNCED, AS 2027 TICKETS GO ON SALE

Rego’s are open …. Tickets are on sale … however you want to say it, we are back baby, with a new date for the 2026/2027 Bass Coast Cycle Challenge.

The Bass Coast Cycle Challenge, in its 16th edition, will take place on Saturday 10 April, 2027.

New date, same vibe as we invite riders to come together and experience the best of Bass Coast on two wheels. Registrations are now open for cyclists of all levels – from rec to pro – to take part in one of the region’s much-loved cycling events.

Riders can choose from our much loved five distances to suit their experience and ambitions, including road and gravel options, making it a great opportunity for seasoned cyclists, those looking to take on a new challenge or those wanting a chilled ride with friends. With early-bird pricing available now, riders are encouraged to secure their place early, and secure the event’s limited-edition jersey for the 2027 event.

Event founder, Gavin Slavin explains the calendar shift:

“Moving the event from November to April is all about creating the best possible experience for our riders. It’s an exciting move and the atmosphere in April will be even better … the weather is more stable, better temps and less wind. It will be an even more enjoyable day on the bike and a great opportunity to take in everything the Bass Coast has to offer.

“We’re really really proud of the relaxed, welcoming community vibe that makes this event so special. This move will enhance that … and to protect that atmosphere, rider numbers are capped, so we encourage everyone to lock in their spot early to avoid missing out.

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another fantastic Bass Coast Cycle Challenge.”

Connecting community and making roads safer for all

For 16 years, the Bass Coast Cycle Challenge has brought riders together on some of Victoria’s most spectacular cycling routes. Whether you’re chasing a PB, challenging yourself or simply enjoying the ride with friends, it’s a day about cycling, wellbeing, connection and community, with a purpose that goes well beyond the finish line.

By taking part, you’re also helping support road safety education for local young people. The BCCC has enabled more than 3,800 students across Bass Coast and South Gippsland to participate in vital road safety education, giving them valuable knowledge and skills to make safer choices on our roads.

The 2027 Bass Coast Cycle Challenge promises another fantastic opportunity to get riding and be part of the local cycling community.
