About the BCCC

The Bass Coast Cycle Challenge is a charity cycling event. Proceeds fund the education of young drivers, passengers and cyclists, making our roads a safer place for all.

It is one of the most spectacular rides in Victoria and every November, cyclists and their friends and families from all over the state flock to the stunning coastal town of Inverloch for the super fun and friendly Bass Coast Cycle Challenge.

With our traditional four ride choices through Bass Coast and South Gippsland, there is something for all ages and rider abilities. Riders can challenge themselves with hills, the coast or both over either 40km, 53km, 85km, or 121km and our ~100km gravel ride for those keen to go off the beaten track a little!

Rider numbers are capped at 1000, so enter early to secure your place. Early birds save on entry costs and also have a chance to win a free ride entry and a BCCC riders kit.

Our event is in its 14th year and has grown to be one of the friendliest and most refreshing recreational charity cycling events on the calendar thanks to the support of our sponsors, supporters, participants and local community members who volunteer to help organise the event and ensure each rider on the day has a safe and enjoyable day.

As a charity event, we are very proud to be making our roads a safer place. Since 2010, the BCCC has enabled over 3000 students from Bass Coast and South Gippsland secondary schools to take part the game-changing RYDA and L2P programs, which deliver practical road safety information targeting attitude and awareness of young drivers and their passengers. Your ride truly can save lives.

Such a lovely ride through the rolling hills. We had a special experience with an echidna just 3km from the finish. What a memory.
