E-Bikes welcome at the BCCC

It’s a question we are often asked: ‘Can I ride an e-bike in the BCCC?’

The answer is a resounding yes! We welcome e-bikes across all routes.

In recent years we’ve seen the growth of e-bike entrants and we are thrilled that it’s opened up our event as an option to riders who may not have been able to complete a route on a standard bike.

In 2022, one of our event ambassadors 81 year old Terry Shannon (OAM JP) rode his e-bike in the 40km.

He said “I like to ride because I know cycling is doing good things for my elderly body and perhaps it is also an example to my seven grandchildren and their wives and husbands.”
